The Young Researchers Program, a mentorship programme by the Hands On the Land Alliance in cooperation with TNI, FIAN International and Friends of the Earth, is open for applications until the 19th of September. This program enables young engaged scholars and activists to strengthen their capacities around understanding food sovereignty and the human right to food, including opportunities for peer-to-peer learning, benefitting from the experience of mentors, and the opportunity to attend two main events as part of the research process.

In this video by the Hands on the Land alliance, frontline communities and social movements around the world explain why we need to keep our hands on the land for food sovereignty and climate justice!

We are still determined to maintain the voices of civil society in Paris. We will be stepping up in solidarity, making it clear that Paris is still a lively, friendly city. We will not give in to terrorists who want to sow fear, or to the French (and other) governments who want to exclude the voices of those building a peaceful and harmonious society from the ground up.

This year, once more, the Nyéléni Europe Movement for Food Sovereignty calls to take action on the Global Day of Action for Food Sovereignty on the 16th of October to reaffirm the vision of the right of all peoples to define their own food and agriculture policies and systems, without harming either people or precious natural resources, as Food Sovereignty implies.
